VICS head into a top of the table six pointer against high flyers Hednesford on the back of a

run of three games without a win in the league.

Following wins against FC United (2-1) and Ashton (3-0), along with a draw in between the

two against Chester (1-1), the Vics have drawn with Buxton (1-1) and Frickley (0-0), while

losing last time out against Marine (2-1.)

The Vics have taken nine points from their last six league games, with two matches won –

they sit fourth in the Evo-Stik NPL Premier, two points behind Hednesford.

Hednesford have been on a poor run of form in their last six matches – they have secured

wins against Chester (2-1) and Stafford Rangers (1-0), but have drawn against Bradford Park

Avenue (1-1) and Nantwich (2-2), while losing their last two matches against Marine (1-0)

and FC United (2-0.)

The Pitmen have taken eight points from their last six league games, with two matches won –

they sit second in the Evo-Stik NPL Premier, three points behind leaders Chester, but having

played two games more.

In a competitive league this season, Vics average two points per game this season, while the

Pitmen have averaged 1.93 PPG.

Vics have been at the back this season and boast the second best defence in the division –

with only 24 goals conceded, Hednesford have conceded on 33 occasions, which is the joint

fifth best in the league.

At the other end, Vics fare slightly worse, which will be of minimal concern to temporary

boss Wayne Porter. The Vics are sixth for goals scored with 50, while Hednesford are fifth

for goals scored having found the net 51 times.

Hednesford have suspensions pending for this match, with Jamey Osbourne sitting out the

last of a two match suspension for his sending off against Nantwich Town and Darren

Campion sitting out the second game of a three match suspension. The Pitmen will also be likely to start new signings Jermain Johnson and

Michael Rickets, after they both made their full debuts against FC United. Vics have a full squad to

choose from.

A standout statistic is the home and away form of the respective teams – Hednesford

currently have the second best home record with 31 points from 14 games, while Vics have

the second best away record with 29 points from 12 games.
