Peter Wilson reports on the draw with Nuneaton:

This game provided a timely reminder that Vics will need to battle all the way to gain promotion from a very competetive league. For their part, Nuneaton proved to be good value for their draw and worked effectively to earn their share of the spoils. From Vics' perspective they must be disappointed that they conceded two goals on their own ground? to raise the number of goals conceded to 16 in 13 Conference North games.
In keeping with expectations, this was a keenly and evenly contested game throughout. Mayman presented an early opportunity for Carr but he headed wide and then Allan did well to provide an opening for BRAYSON and the in-form striker was quick to oblige with yet another hallmark precision finish. Borough responded immediately and a Quailey knock down was seized upon by Frew to shoot inches wide. The visitors continued to create the better chances and after Frew had agained threatened Rogers was called into action to keep out a Fitzpatrick free kick. And so it came as little surprise that Borough equalised. Love released Staff down the left flank and he neatly beat McCarthy to cross for FITZPATRICK? to score with a firm strike. Allan and Roca combined effectively only for Acton to beat out a well struck attempt from Roca and although Brayson reacted quickly to return the ball back into the danger area Acton was on hand to deny Allan with a wondefrul point blank save.
Paul BRAYSON appeared to be on the verge of delivering a virtuoso performance when he collected an Allan pass down the right channel to move inside and pick his spot with an angled shot that yet again showed the highgest of aptitudes for precision and placement. Roca broke and looked to have sealed the game with a precision pass to Brayson who, in turn, set up Allan? but his goal bound shot was blocked by Angus. As the game progressed Vics began to run out of ideas and were steadily forced onto the back foot. And the visitors were able to take adavantage with 12 minutes remaining when Frew did well to get to the goal line and cut a cross back for the lurking WILKIN to score from 6 yards. From this point Vics rarely looked capable of regaining the lead and with Borough seemingly happy to maintain parity the remainder of the game proved to be a stale mate.
